Since DFG Perth started we've held a BIG SEW DAY every year.
In 2016 we had so many wonderful ladies come and volunteer their time and skills that we could barely fit them all in. Since then we have held our BIG SEW DAY over 2 days to allow everyone to attend.
What happens at a BIG SEW DAY?
Penny and Karin give a demonstration. They show us what's inside a DFG Kit. They explain why each item is included, why the kits are so desperately needed and how distribution of the kits are undertaken.

We have lots of fun meeting new people, sharing food, making kits, and there are lots of raffle prizes throughout the day.
All raffle prizes are items that have been donated by those that support DFG Perth and the funds raised go toward making more kits.
Donations of fabric, underwear, face washers, and more, are all very welcome and help to meet the demand for kits.
What if I don't sew? Can I still help?
There are many tasks that need doing that aren't sewing. Everyone can help out!
How experienced at sewing do I need to be?
There are sewing tasks for beginners and experienced sewers. We also have a lot of overlocking to do.
So bring your sewing machine or overlocker, and join us for loads of fun making kits. Remember to bring an extension cord/power board too.
